Microsoft Student Ambassador.
I've been part of the Microsoft Student Ambassadors program since July 2026, after months of publishing technical content about Azure and Microsoft tools. How to apply to the program
Joining the program.
The application process has no formal starting point. What matters is building a consistent public technical presence before applying. This is what I did and what I recommend.
Register on the official portal
Go to studentambassadors.microsoft.com and complete the registration with "Get Started". The process takes a few minutes.
Meet the requirements of your chosen path
Each path has specific activity requirements that must be completed before the cohort deadline. Publications, events or technical content depending on the chosen direction. This is the part that takes the most time.
Wait for cohort confirmation
Once the requirements are submitted, Microsoft reviews the activity and sends confirmation of acceptance to the corresponding cohort. The process can take several weeks.
Complete onboarding on Microsoft Learn
Complete the assigned learning path to reach the Alpha milestone and unlock the program's first benefits. No need to pick the most technical option.
Reach milestones within the program
As activities are completed, milestones are reached that unlock additional benefits like Azure credits, software licenses and leadership opportunities.
